Scope of Government

Ronald Reagan once said that the nine most terrifying words in the English language are: " I'm from the Government, and I'm here to help". The progressive  democrats, who control the party, are always looking to raise taxes and create bigger Government. The problem is that when Government expands individual freedoms diminish. I believe that the federal government needs to be significantly  reduced and that a lot of the current federal programs would be better served at the state level.
